Build complete as we go live with JCB franchise website

You'll never beat the buzz of bringing on board a new client – especially when it's the size of the internationally recognised brand JCB.

Following a glowing introduction from another of our clients, the MultiWebMarketing team was given the opportunity to design and build a new website for one of the construction giant's franchise partners, JCB Contractor & Landscaping.

Specialising in the supply of trade tools such as forks, shovels and spades to the construction industry and handy home DIYers, the new franchise partners were looking for a modern website which would be easy to navigate, transact on and entice customers to make online purchases.

"Our client was keen to ensure the website was optimised for smartphones, with an e-commerce offering able to seamlessly convert sales enquiries," said Operations Director Adrian Blatherwick.

The project was delivered across an eight-week window and involved content creation, visual design and optimisation work to help the website rank highly on Google searches.

"It was an exciting project to be involved as it is for such a large global company and shows we can deliver solutions for all sizes of business," added Adrian.

The client has been transacting on the website since early October and is delighted with the visual appeal it offers, as well as its SEO effectiveness.

Working with guidelines

One of the unique elements and challenges of this project was having to take into account a strict set of brand guidelines, supplied by the main corporate JCB brand – ensuring the design of the website in particular tied in neatly to the wider JCB look and feel.

"The guidelines were very detailed and gave us lots of direction. It explained how we could use their colours and illustrations, meaning we had to be quite careful. The whole website needed to be signed off by JCB – even down to the spec of the server we used," said Adrian.

"We wanted to make sure the website felt part of the wider JCB family but also had its own personality."

To achieve this, the project was worked on collaboratively by six of the MultiWebMarketing creative and technical team that included award-winning researchers, graphic designers, front-end developers, as well as SEO specialists.
