Doncaster Business
Work Hard, Play Hard
Leading the way in office fun – as well as tech innovation.
Research shows that a happy workforce is a productive workforce – and this philosophy is wholeheartedly embraced at the home of MultiWebMarketing.
If you peek behind the doors of Doncaster’s leading web and marketing agency, you’ll soon learn that the fun never stops and it’s all in the name of ensuring the team produces its best when it’s time to focus on client work.
A study conducted by the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School found that happy employees are 13% more productive.
This mantra certainly seems to be paying dividends for the creatives here, with an abundance of workplace perks to enjoy on a daily basis.
“We’re trying to create a good working environment, which is about a little more than just hard work,” explained Operations Director Adrian Blatherwick.
“It’s important that our team can unwind in their downtime and come back to their desks feeling much more refreshed.”
With all this in mind, MultiWebMarketing is striving to create a workplace that is one of the best around – to help keep colleagues happy and attract the very best talent in the industry.
Managing Director Paul Smith said: “It’s about helping the team to lift their head up and chill in between all the fantastic work they’re producing. A reward for all the work that gets put in.”
Included in this is a Starbucks coffee pod machine, a table football game, regular team quizzes, pizza Friday at the end of every month and a number of seasonal team building days and evenings, including cocktail making.
Another popular addition to the office is two exercise bikes complete with laptop holders allowing the team to peddle some miles while working through some emails. It helps colleagues to kill some calories and clear their heads while also clearing the inbox for the day.
The latest initiative introduced in 2022 is a new colleague incentive scheme. Every person in the team can earn points for achieving certain tasks in the office, including the completion of a client website or bringing a new customer on board.
The points are being accumulated, and at the end of March, they can be converted to cash for a team prize.
“We like to encourage great performance and get the whole company involved and motivated to achieve its best,” added Adrian.

The newest and most popular addition to the MultiWebMarketing funhouse is a multi-game arcade machine – with more than 1,000 console classics to choose from.
It’s been a real hit with the team, giving colleagues the chance to unwind in between client projects, and roll back the years to their youth with a few rounds of their favourite childhood computer games.
Social Media & Content Team Lead, Hayley Leeming gave us an insight into the team’s top three favourite retro games to play when it’s time for a well-earned break from work…
Lion King
This is an all-round team Disney film favourite that lets us reminisce in our childhood.
Street Fighter
A great one to settle any creative disputes and differences in the team. We can fight it out in the game!
Fix It, Felix
This is another favourite of ours. The game requires you to build and fix things; it’s really creative and so suits our skills.
