Recognizing Our Creative Stars
The end-of-year MultiWebMarketing award winners speak to us about the work which helped them take home their Christmas prizes
With a building full of some of the finest creative talents in Yorkshire, the quality of our work at MultiWebMarketing never stands still.
It was therefore no surprise that the 2021 end-of-year employee awards were hotly contested once again.
With four awards up for grabs, we celebrated the best of the best in a year which saw us produce yet more industry-leading work for our clients.
Our Operations Director Adrian Blatherwick, who was part of the presentation team, said: “It’s always good to end the year by looking back at what we’ve achieved and the work we’ve done.
“We always like to focus on the team, improve their working experience here and find ways to appreciate all the effort they put in. As we’ve grown, the opportunities to do things like this has been great.”
We spoke to the winners on their success and how they felt to be recognised by the business…
MD’s Award
Hayley Leeming, Head of Social Media and Content
“It was totally unexpected but came at the end of a hard and challenging year. Recognition is always nice and it’s important in life to feel valued. We’ve made a real effort to enhance how we support our clients with more regular reviews and trying to push boundaries to create fresh and engaging content. We’ve injected more creativity into what we do and have been pushing the whole team to think outside the box.”
Apprentice Of The Year
Phoebe Wood, Business Admin Apprentice.
“Everyone calls me “odd job” because I do odd jobs across a few of the departments and around the building and I’ll take on whatever I need to take on. Over the past year, I’ve been dealing with the sales enquiries as they come into the business and have a lot of new responsibilities. Opportunities to do new things have come along and I’ve just tried to seize them; it’s been a very varied year. The award was unexpected but it was a nice feeling.”
Content Creator Of The Year
Saskia Erhardt, Digital Marketing and Social Media Apprentice.
“I was a bit surprised but really quite proud of myself as I always try to get all my work done quickly and to a high standard. I really enjoy creating the video ads for Facebook. These are about 15 seconds long and are based on the content of an online campaign, plus you can see the results of the work quite easily.”
Best Project - JCB Contractor & Landscaping
Curtis Kelly, Graphic Designer
“It was great to work on a project for such a well-known brand. There were a lot of brand guidelines we had to work with, which was helpful, but also made the project a bit challenging. From a design perspective, it gave us a good idea of what they were looking for and the customer was pleased with the website. The award was a nice way to end the year. The company always goes above and beyond to make us feel appreciated for our work.”
Harry Thrall, Frontend Developer
“It was an e-commerce website for the sale of around 30 different types of tools. It took about six weeks to develop in total and was a really good project to work on. We’ve started to build lots more of these sites over the past year and it’s important for us to create these so seamlessly now.”
